While serving as a pastor, Rick trained as a spiritual director at Tyndale Seminary and has companioned a wide variety of people in their spiritual journey over the past 12 years. Now in retirement, he especially feels called to be with pastors, supporting their soul care, healing, and spiritual formation. Rick partners with the Holy Spirit to help people recognize, experience, and engage with God in the rhythm of their everyday life. Husband, father, and grandfather, he encounters God and finds awe and delight in his family, and in people, the arts, natural environments, and gardening.
